La Voz perdida by Marcello Martinessi

La Voz Perdida directed by Marcello Martinessi won the award for best short film at the 73rd Venice Film Festival. The work of the filmmaker was awarded in the "Horizons" category of the festival.
During eleven minutes he depicts testimonies of the massacre of Curuguaty. In 2012, eleven peasants were murdered while they occupied lands in protest. Marcello Martinessi wanted to give a voice to people that neither the press nor justice had bothered to listen. The Best Best Short Film award doesn’t only award a short film it also rewards a cause.
